Cancer Screening

Bowel Screening Tests

Bowel screening tests are offered by the Public Health Agency to patients aged 60 years and over. They contact patients directly by post.

A new video about what happens at bowel screening has been produced by the Public Health Agency. If covers how to take the test, processing the samples at the laboratory, receiving your results and being called back for colonoscopy. It is hoped that the video will help clear up confusion about how to take the test and clarify the process. The video is on: https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/bowel-screening
